Mr. Wormsley is a Managing Partner at Vision Capital and joined the firm in 2000. Vision Capital is focused on Europe and the Americas, having raised 7 funds, totalling €1.8 billion, invested in 7 portfolios with an underlying enterprise value of over €2 billion, with a realised track record of 71% IRR in Euros. Mr. Wormsley sits on the boards of BrightHouse, DeltaRail and Eliot Holdings, the holding company for Fletchers Bakeries, Park Cake and Pork Farms. Before joining Vision Capital, Mr. Wormsley graduated with an MBA from London Business School. Previously, he worked in debt structured products at UBS from 1992 to 1997 and in corporate finance with Salomon Brothers from 1989 to 1992. Mr. Wormsley holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bristol University.
Mr. Söderblom. has been a partner at Arcano since 2010, an independent investment management and financial services firm based in Madrid and New York with three principal business areas: (i) alternative asset management; (ii) corporate finance; and, (iii) family office advisory. The alternative asset management area manages in excess of US$1bn and focused on fund of private equity funds, credit funds and secondary products, where Mr Söderblom. Sven is specifically focused on the emerging markets. Prior to joining Arcano, Mr Söderblom. Sven was a Portfolio Director at CDC in London, where he spent five years (2005-2010). CDC is a leading private equity fund investor in the Emerging Markets with a US$4bn balance sheet. During these years, Mr Söderblom. Sven played an important part in developing CDC´s fund of funds program following a restructuring in 2004, resulting in a portfolio of nearly 140 funds and 65 fund managers. He was a member of CDC´s investment committee and responsible for the Latin America and Southern Africa regions, where he led the investments into 15 funds with a cumulative value of around US$400m and was an active member of numerous fund advisory boards in both Africa and Latin America. Before CDC, Mr Söderblom. Sven spent a number of years of PE and VC fund investing in Western Europe at the EIF in Luxembourg and before that in investment banking at Alfred Berg / ABN Amro in Stockholm. Mr Söderblom. holds a BA in Economics from the universities in Stockholm and Uppsala, Sweden, and an MBA from IESE, Spain.
Mr. Malik is the Regional Director for the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries (Norfund) and is responsible for the regional office for Africa, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He diverse experience in general management, development banking, banking, microfinance, corporate and public finance, project financing, financial restructuring, privatization in emerging markets, mining, procurement, and financial management. His specialization is working with multilateral/bilateral financial institutions, and he also has an extensive knowledge of developing countries. In line with the company’s strategy, Norfund is increasingly focused on Sub Saharan Africa where 78% of new investments now take place. In 2009, Norfund established the first private equity fund in Angola. Mr. Malik also served as the Regional Representative of The Industrialisation Fund for Developing Countries, of Denmark. Previously, Mr. Malik’s vast experience in Africa included his roles as Managing Director of the Development Bank of Zambia, as General Manager of Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines and as Audit Manager for KPMG. Mr. Malik holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Honors) from the University of Delhi, India, and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Mr. Hunt has 19 years of professional experience and is currently lead portfolio manager for an established South African fund-of-private equity funds. He sits on the Advisory Boards of 9 African private equity funds. Previously he was Vice President with JP Morgan Chase in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Johannesburg, where he spent 13 years working in the areas of corporate finance, tax-effective finance, debt structured products and derivatives marketing. His career spanned institutional client coverage across the Middle East, Eastern Europe, South East Asia and South Africa. His areas of expertise are private equity, credit, foreign exchange and derivatives. Mr. Hunt holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Honours) from the University of Bristol and condensed-MBA in Finance.
As Managing Director of South Suez Capital, Mr. Rogel is responsible from his base in Mauritius, for overseeing the investment team’s activities. This covers the sourcing of investments, the investment pipeline and due diligence processes, and the monitoring of existing investments and their underlying companies. Mr. Rogel has 9 years professional experience, specialising in corporate and contract law with particular focus on advising public, private and venture capital companies on deal structuring, shareholder matters, corporate litigation, liquidations and insolvency inquiries. Mr. Rogel also has extensive experience in acquisitions and joint ventures advisory and the enforcement of judgments in foreign jurisdictions. He is a registered attorney and Notary Public in South Africa with right of appearance in the High Court. Mr. Rogel holds a BProc with Certificates in Corporate and Labour Law and is a dual citizen of the United States and South Africa.
Mr. Elliott is Managing Director of All Seasons Capital Management in Mauritius, a leading emerging market alternative strategy manager. Mr. Elliott joined Beacon Capital Management in the British Virgin Islands as a senior fund accountant in 2003, subsequently spearheading the team. Prior to that, he worked as a management accountant in South Africa. He joined Edge Capital in South Africa in 2006 as an analyst responsible for onshore manager research and due diligence. In 2007, Mr. Elliott was appointed Managing Director of All Seasons Capital Management in Mauritius and is ultimately responsible for all investment decisions across all funds. Mr. Elliott holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce.
Mr. Du Preez is a Director of Sutton Place, an advisory firm responsible for part of the assets of the US-based Getty Family Office. Prior to Sutton Place, Mr. Du Preez worked for the investment management division of Investec Bank from 1993 to 1999. Thereafter he moved to Cadiz Investment Bank where he was Director for asset management and was responsible for multi-manager funds and international structured products. He has been instrumental in establishing an India Real Estate Fund and the Rainbow Nation Property Fund, a South African Fund focuses on development in Southern Africa. He was previously Managing Director of Russian-based Victory Oil and Magnum Oil. Mr du Preez has a B Comm Honours in Portfolio Management Theory ( UCT) and H D Soc Sci (Oxford University).
