Bhekamangwane Primary School, in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa
The school started in 2008 with 2 classrooms, financed by the Africa Foundation but suffered from a heavy storm in March 2018, damaging the roofing of 2 classrooms making them unusable. With enrolment at 358 in 2019, the School approached the Africa Foundation for the construction of 2 classrooms with a dividing wall, to be combined into a larger hall space. This will help will reduce the average class size to 35 and length of the daily commute for most children of the Community.
A donation has been made towards the renovation of 2 classrooms and the construction of a hall space.
